01— Concert Series

Free Outdoor Concerts at MacArthur Park

Every summer, MAC·LA presents 10 free outdoor concerts at historic MacArthur Park, featuring a bold, eclectic lineup that captures the soul of Los Angeles. From cumbia and hip-hop to skacore, indie rock, electronic, boleros, and beyond — each night celebrates the music that moves our city.

Concerts run June through August, mostly on Saturday evenings, with a few Friday and Sunday shows. Bring your blanket, your crew, and your appetite — food vendors are on-site all season long.

02 — Workforce Development

Investing in the Next Generation of Cultural Workers

MAC·LA believes that building community through music also means investing in the people who make it happen. Our workforce development programs offer paid, hands-on opportunities for emerging professionals — especially bilingual youth and community college students from the neighborhoods we serve.

From seasonal internships in outreach and communications to on-the-ground production experience at live events, participants gain real skills, real connections, and a front-row seat to how the live music industry works — all while contributing to something that matters.

Production Pathways — Free Workforce Development Initiative

A free program designed to create sustainable career pathways in live event production and digital media. Tailored for underrepresented youth ages 18–30, Production Pathways combines in-person and remote learning, hands-on experience, and direct networking with employers and industry professionals.

Curriculum covers: Understanding the creative economy · Introduction to A/V production · Audio deep dive · Technical production training · Industry-standard safety practices — and more.

Participants integrate their skills through the summer concert series, fee-based production services, and events with program partners.

03 — Special Events

Beyond the Stage.
Beyond the Summer.

Beyond the summer concert series, MAC·LA produces and participates in a range of special events year-round — from community mixers and cultural celebrations to collaborative activations with partner organizations across the city.

These events extend our reach, deepen our community ties, and create new spaces for Angelenos to connect over music, art, and culture. Each one reflects the spirit of MacArthur Park — diverse, alive, and open to all.

Past special events have included World Cup viewing parties, cultural heritage celebrations, community mixers, and joint activations with neighborhood organizations, city offices, and arts institutions across Los Angeles.
