He is celebrated as the creator of “Afro Punta,” a dynamic musical genre that seamlessly blends traditional Garifuna Punta rhythms with contemporary urban, African, and Latin sounds. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to a family of Honduran and Belizean descent and now based right here in Los Angeles, Lil June bridges coasts, cultures, and generations through his artistry.

He has made history as the first Garifuna solo artist to introduce his culture to mainstream platforms. With viral hits like “OMG” and “HALA” amassing millions of streams and dominating TikTok, Lil June’s energetic sound is guaranteed to get MacArthur Park moving.
